After Effects of Resignation !!

In today's World where nothing is Stagnant, How can an Organization assume its employees to be Permanent resources until unless an extra effort is put in ?

There are various ways in which a company deals with its employees. We have start-ups, small size companies, Mid-Size Companies, MNC's, Corporates etc.,

How strange it feels to be a part of all of these :P The reason to take up this topic of Resignation is with the kind of experience I had personally met with each one of these organizations.

Boring yet Interesting :) Lets start from the Corporates (easier one to deal with).

Corporates - Post resignation, an employee is made to feel responsible for KT and ensure that the work is handled accurately and handed over to the replacement. Manager's, Friends, relatives everyone is happy if the employee holds a better offer. Simultaneously, they feel sorry if an employee leaves the Organization due to personal issues and render a sweet message to get back to them once they have decided to get back to work.
Its a different question, to What Extent :) Atleast the personal grudge is not maintained as everyone is aware that the world is pretty small and you might jump into each other any moment. So maintaining cordial relation is the Key.

Mid-Size Companies - Employee resigning due to Personal / Professional reasons is treated the same way. How ? Well heres that. Until an employee  hasn't put down the papers, he is treated as a core member (Not less than God - using this to get accuracy). Bad Fate and the Papers are down, every other manager gets serious and starts pointing out on even the minute mistakes which were once never a matter of consideration.  Starting from Attendance to No. of hours put at work and not taking the Job seriously. They go to an extent of specifying is your brain in place ? Why do we feel that you are out of your mind :P What the Hell ??????

They do not just punch your Ego but Humiliate you to such an extent that you start pitying yourself for being a part of the Organization. :( They start eyeing away from you and make you feel as if you have done something really wrong.

Let me quote an instance here: Unfortunately, two of the employees in my Organization put down the papers (One Android resource & other Java resource). They stopped talking to these guys and insisted on me getting to know what is it that they have in mind. Part of Job, you should be ready to do this and thats what was done. As a mediator the message was conveyed to the Mgt., It was strange to know that these guys were retained in the Organization (Strange - Why ? Coz i was informed that they are the non-performers and not doing good at work. They have no idea of what they are doing and our Project is not getting benefited in any way) What the Hell ??????

Somehow, My opinion of Mid-size Organization has changed now and i'm Thankful that i realized it early :) and Hopefully this message will reach the right Lot !

Now here comes the strangest part of the Companies, The Start Ups / Small-Size Companies: Loads of Investment into the Venture, they need the World Class Professionals on their Side. Ready to offer whatever is expected and then starts the humiliation :)

Why i say Humiliation ? Well, if the employee stucks on some technical front, they start backwards - You worked with CMM Level Organizations and we offered you xxxxxx amount to get this work done. We are paying more than your expertise blah blah blah.......... What a Humiliation !!!! Hats Off !!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately if the employee decides to put down the papers, they get onto the Notice Period. You have to serve this notice and trust me that would be the hell of a period You would never forget in your Life time :) It just doesn't stop here, the BGC is goofed up.

At times i feel, probably that's the reason why many of the employees just avoid specifying few companies in their profiles to avoid this kind of Goof up again :)
